Ready to Lead

Overview

Course duration: 1 day. Uncertainty affects individuals and teams in different ways and supporting people during difficult times assists in navigating periods of change, and helps guide everyone in the right direction.

There are often many challenges to overcome when managing a team of people, not least during times of change, uncertainty and upheaval. At times like these individuals will look to their leaders for support and it is vital that these leaders remain focused and understand their responsibilities in this regard.

The workshops outlined below will safely encourage honest and open discussion, and will be tailored to the specific needs of the participants. All attendees will have the opportunity to be heard and to consider their next steps so they can be prepared for the future.

The titles and objectives we have included are suggested only with a view to further discussion, and we would be happy to share details of workshop content and exercises. We are of course able to amend as required to suit specific requirements and objectives.

This workshop will assist those in a position of responsibility to deal with difficulties themselves whilst being a role model to others.

Workshop Objectives

By the end of the workshop, delegates will have:

•  Explored their feelings and thoughts and considered how these are affecting them and their team members. 
• Discussed leadership strengths that are required in times of uncertainty whilst recognising and planning development areas. 
• Chosen communication methods and techniques that firmly and fairly focus on the available facts at that time. 
• Demonstrated leadership behaviours that show a balance of compassion and discipline, ensuring that team members maintain working standards. 
• Used some guiding principles on navigating uncertain times to plan how to lead team members effectively.
