Overview
A competency framework is a vital tool for helping managers and staff to recruit, develop and manage performance. This short session will show you how to ensure that you and your team members are assessing performance on the basis of reality rather than assumptions. This will encourage everyone to have a sense of trust in the use of the framework, and will help you to value it rather than see it as a bureaucratic exercise.
This workshop is a presentation on the use of competencies, followed by individual work and work in trios on preparing evidence, followed by competency-based questioning skills.

- Background knowledge of how competencies are used
- How to prepare evidence in preparation for both interviewing and being interviewed in the competency-based style for recruitment, training and development, and performance management
